Who?
Pittsburgh Social Enterprise Accelerator

What?
The Accelerator helps non-profits start successful social enterprises or earned-income ventures.
Where?
1224 East Carson Street, 3rd Floor, South Side
Why?
As a start-up organization, the Accelerator staff spent their first 7 months working anywhere there was space for them – their cars, friends’ offices, from home, and just about every Starbucks in town. They needed a place for the organization to call home. |
What Else?
The Accelerator’s South Side offices are just across the bridge from downtown and convenient for all, while at the same time providing a different “neighborhood” feel compared to a tall office building. Tim Zak, President of the Accelerator, likes the South Side office because it’s not typical office space. It has an open floor plan, exposed beams and skylights. Plus, Tim and his Assistant Leila can ride their bikes from home and take lunch breaks on the South Side River Trail. |
