Getting a Patron Table at the Cool Space Awards Party is an easy way to promote your organization and reserve a block of tickets at the same time. Yes! Students may pay $25 per ticket. Valid student ID must be presented at the door with your student ticket.

The Meter Room is located a few steps away from the West Busway. Take the 100 from Downtown or Oakland to Sheraden Station.

Where is The Meter Room?

The Meter Room is located at 60 Greenway Drive, 15204, in Pittsburgh's Sheraden/Crafton Heights neighborhood.  To get there, take Carson Street to the Corliss Tunnel, straight on Chartiers.  The Meter Room is on your left across from the Sheraden Park and Ride lot.

What should I wear?

Think fun, funky, and fabulous.  This is a party, so come ready to have a good time!  (Don't be surprised to see everything from t-shirts and jeans to little black dresses.  What can we say - we like variety!)

What is cool space?

Cool space is urban workspace.  If you think a space is cool, then we encourage you to nominate it.  We only require that the space is located in a walkable neighborhood in southwestern PA and is not purely residential.

2005 winners are not eligible for 2007 awards, but spaces nominated in 2005 (that did not win) are welcome.

Of course! We want to see how people use the nominated space.

No.  Awards are for commercial spaces only (any space/building that isn't purely residential can broadly qualify as 'commercial'). However, mixed-use projects that have both commercial and residential components are welcome.

Fill out our online nomination form or mail the downloadable nomination form to Cool Space Locator.  Include up to 10 photos and your $15 nomination fee for each space/person nominated.

How can I pay the $15 nomination fee?

Can I nominate a park or open space?

No (at least, not this year!)  Spaces must be part of the built environment (a building or space within a building). 

No.  You can nominate any space for CSA07.  Of course it may help for you to talk to the owners and/or people that work in the space so they can assist you with the nomination.
